One aspect of our curriculum that sets us apart is our Christian education. Christ is found in our daily activities. Our ministry coordinator comes to each classroom daily to tell the weekly Bible story using songs, books, crafts, activities, and other visual materials.  Once a week preschool aged children attend Chapel in the sanctuary with Good Shepherd’s K-8th grade school students. Pastor Werre and his guitar also visit the ECC classrooms once a week to learn about their Savior, sing “Jesus Loves Me” and other Bible songs.

The ECC Curriculum Calendar provides parents with the center-wide theme of the week, Bible story of the week, dress up days, seasonal and holiday parties, and field trips. The ECC weekly newsletter, The Town Square Herald, is sent via email to parents each Thursday with more on what is happening in the center. Teachers send home daily sheets and classroom newsletters as well.

In the classroom, our loving and caring teachers maintain the daily schedule and provide the children with age and development-based social, physical, and academic activities that are fun and engaging.

The Bible tells us, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Good Shepherd Early Childhood Center exists to work in partnership with parents to train up children in Christian morals and education.
