About Our School

Good Shepherd Lutheran’s Grade School is a state accredited Christian school that prepares students to succeed both spiritually and intellectually long after they leave our campus. We incorporate God’s truths in to all of our academics, as well as leading daily devotions & weekly chapel gatherings. Our School’s Objective

The ultimate objective of Christian education must serve to point out the very purpose of life itself—that we exist to praise, glorify, and please God every day.

Our objectives at Good Shepherd are that every child:

  • has a thorough knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.

  • builds his/her life around faith in the Lord so that all thoughts, words, deeds, and relationships exemplify the life of Christ.

  • is instructed, in every subject, to develop all the talents God has given for his/her use in the world.

  • is prepared through disciplined instruction for the next step of his/her education.

Our Facilities

We have six classrooms at our school: full-time Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, and Grades 7-8. Our school’s multi-grade classroom setting is immensely beneficially to the students academic achievement, personal relationships with other students and teachers, and the development of their Christian character.

Rates

The yearly cost to educate each K-8 grade student at Good Shepherd Lutheran School is $10,000. However, many families receive grants through South Dakota Partners in Education and through our congregation.
